Through our trauma informed interventions Yakira is supports young women and girls to see their own worth, addressing self-esteem, confidence and emotional well-being as a basis for future orientated action planning and personal development.
Yakira aims to provide intensive and therapeutic support to move young women to think about their future, with every young woman leaving the programme with a tangible action plan that is appropriate to them, to support them into education, training, or work, this is supported by a therapeutic framework that is focussed on empowering these young women and girls to process their own histories, building better mental health and supporting the access to community opportunities.

Celebrating our 'Yakira Achievers'
On completion of our 16 week therapeutic programme, we celebrate with our participants who took part in our therapeutic group work, one to one weekly mentoring sessions and our personal development/effectiveness workshops/training sessions.
15 your women who now all feel • More resilient, empowered through the voicing of their experiences • A reduction in isolation/exclusion and increase in emotional well-being.
They all now also have an individualised action plan - steps into education/training or employment.
They have all remained committed to the programme and have worked so hard on many levels.
Well done, so proud of you all.
